# Privacy Policy — Session Switcher

Session Switcher (the "extension") is built to keep your data private. This
policy explains exactly what the extension does, and does not do, with your
information.

## Summary

Session Switcher stores everything **locally on your own device**. It has no
servers, no analytics, and no accounts. It never transmits your cookies, logins,
browsing data, or any personal information to the developer or to any third
party.

## What the extension stores (locally, on your device)

To provide per-tab account isolation, the extension stores the following only in
your browser's local extension storage (`chrome.storage`), on your device:

- **Sessions you create** — their names, colors, and the website they belong to.
- **Cookie jars** — the cookies captured for each session, so that each session
  stays logged in independently.
- **Tab bindings** — which open tab is currently using which session (kept only
  for the current browser run).

The extension also namespaces website storage (`localStorage`, `sessionStorage`,
and IndexedDB) per session inside your browser. This data likewise never leaves
your device.

## What the extension does NOT do

- It does **not** send your cookies, credentials, browsing history, or any
  personal data to the developer or to any external server.
- It contains **no** analytics, telemetry, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
- It does **not** sell, rent, or share any data with third parties.
- It does **not** require an account, sign-in, or registration.

## Permissions

The extension requests broad host access and cookie/network permissions solely to
perform its single function — isolating logins on the websites you choose. These
permissions are used only on tabs you explicitly open in a session, and only to
keep those sessions separated on your device.

## Data export and import

You can export your sessions to a JSON file and import them back. These files are
created and read locally, by you. The extension does not upload them anywhere.

## Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device until you remove it. Deleting a session removes
its stored data, and uninstalling the extension removes all of its stored data
from your device.

## Children's privacy

The extension is a general-purpose utility, does not collect any data, and is not
directed at children.

## Changes to this policy

Any changes to this policy will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last
updated" date.
